Whirago is a travel planning platform designed to help travelers decide where and when to travel.
We answer one question better than anyone: when should you go? Every destination page is built on the same foundation — peer-reviewed climate data (WorldClim 2.1, 1 km² resolution), World Bank price-level data, and rule-based scoring algorithms that treat every destination identically. No sponsored rankings, no recycled opinions.
How our content is made
We are transparent about our method: Whirago is a small Netherlands-based team that builds data pipelines, not articles. Scores are computed from scientific source data; the text on each page is generated from those scores under fixed editorial rules, then reviewed against our quality gates before publication. The same input always produces the same verdict — that consistency is the product. Full methodology: how our scores work.
What we don't do
We don't accept sponsored rankings, we don't recycle other sites' "best time to visit" advice, and we don't publish pages our own quality bar rejects. Where our data is too coarse for a confident answer (microclimates, small islands), we say so.
Corrections
Found a score or claim that doesn't match reality on the ground? We verify every report against our source data and correct what doesn't hold — tell us.
Our Vision
To become the go-to resource for seasonal travel planning, helping millions of travelers avoid bad weather and maximize their holiday experiences.
Our Commitment
We are committed to data integrity and editorial independence. Our climate scores and rankings are always generated objectively.
